Course Description
The Advanced Thai Acupressure course takes place once a year; during the first week of April.
The primary focus of this course is to teach you to use your elbows, knees, and feet instead of your hands and palms. You will learn the proper use of body weight and positioning and when to use these techniques.
Our courses emphasize hands-on training and practical experience. In addition to working with the instructor and other students, you will have the opportunity to practice your new skills on Sirius Health client volunteers on the fourth day of training.
This course builds on the skills you have acquired in the first two levels of Thai massage training. We do not teach you new sequences but instead will be showing you alternative and extra techniques to add to your existing sequence. You must already know how to perform a Thai massage in all four positions: supine, side-lying, prone and sitting.
The acupressure techniques in this course integrate directly with the Level 1 and 2 courses of both the Sirius Health and ITM curriculum. By the end of the course, you will have 37 variations to integrate with your Thai massage by the end of this course.
Note: The content of the three Advanced courses is included in the Level 3: Advanced Thai Massage course for students who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 of the Thai Massage Certification curriculum.
Wouldn't you love to know how to do this incredible form of Thai massage? Maybe start your own Thai massage business or treat your friends and family?
In this combination of in-person and online Thai massage course, Grant will guide you step by step to show you from the advanced massage techniques to give your massage clients an even more incredible Thai massage experience.
Schools typically teach Traditional Thai Massage as a system of sequences. We have developed a different and vastly improved approach. We teach you the entire system with its many sequences. But we also help you to go beyond those sequences and learn many specialized therapeutic applications.
We strongly focus on therapist-friendly ways of working to keep therapists healthy and inspired, and we focus on working with the energy components that make Thai Massage so effective.
Our courses emphasize hands-on training and practical experience, so we ensure that you have lots of time to practice.
To ensure that our instructor has time to work with each student, we limit our class size to eight students.
Each course we give our students the opportunity to practice their new skills on a Sirius Health client volunteer.
Yes. The Advanced Thai massage courses build on the skills you have acquired in the first two levels of Thai massage training from any Thai massage school. We do not teach you new sequences but instead will be showing you alternative and extra techniques to add to your existing sequence, so you must have previous training to attend this class.
Our school is located in the heart of Saskatoon in the River Landing district, close to accommodation available for rent and a plethora of food vendors and restaurants to satisfy all tastes and budgets.
At the end of each course, you will need to complete a practical examination and receive a mark of 70% or higher. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate accredited by Thai Healing Alliance International (THAI) and the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC).
You will have lifetime access to the online resources.
